Located directly on the waterfront in Pianello del Lario, this private villa combines the relaxed atmosphere of a lakeside retreat with the flexibility needed for a large family holiday. Its expansive terrace, panoramic swimming pool, private dock and spacious interiors allow guests of different generations to spend time together while enjoying their own preferred activities.

The standard configuration accommodates 10 guests in five air-conditioned en-suite double bedrooms. For larger family reunions, up to three additional bedrooms can be arranged on request, increasing the maximum occupancy to 14 guests.

With a professional kitchen, a large dining room seating up to 14 people and a dedicated children's games room, Villa Besanina is particularly suitable for multigenerational family holidays, extended family gatherings and groups of friends travelling together.

Direct Lake Access, Private Dock and Panoramic Swimming Pool

One of Villa Besanina's defining features is its immediate relationship with Lake Como.

The property offers direct access to the water and a private dock, providing an attractive setting for guests who enjoy boating and exploring the lake. A mooring buoy is also available in front of the villa, subject to availability and boat requirements.

The panoramic swimming pool measures approximately 7.4 × 4.35 metres and is around 1.2 metres deep. Its retractable transparent enclosure can be opened for outdoor swimming or closed to provide shelter in less favourable weather.

Pool heating is normally included from mid-May to mid-September. Heating outside this period can be arranged at an additional cost.

The approximately 350 m² lake-view terrace offers ample space for relaxing, sunbathing, dining outdoors and enjoying views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Important location detail: A public pedestrian path runs along the lakeside directly in front of the villa. Although the property has private grounds, the path itself is not private..

Villa Besanina includes guest relations support throughout the stay, a welcome drink, fresh flowers, a welcome dinner, daily cleaning from Monday to Saturday, towel changes according to the property's schedule, twice-weekly bed linen changes, final cleaning and garden and pool maintenance.
Private cook service, butler service, airport transfers, boat tours, personal laundry and additional pool heating outside the standard heating period can be arranged on request and at an additional cost.

Among the highlights within easy reach are Villa Carlotta in Tremezzina, Villa del Balbianello, Bellagio and Varenna, while the city of Como is approximately 45 km away.
The surrounding area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including boating, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, hiking, mountain biking and golf. The Museo Barca Lariana, dedicated to the history and heritage of boating on Lake Como, is located immediately behind the villa.
Lugano, Switzerland, can be reached in approximately one hour by car, while Milan is around 1½ hours away.

Swimming Pool

The panoramic swimming pool measures approximately 7.40 × 4.35 metres and is around 1.20 metres deep. It features a retractable transparent enclosure that can be opened for an outdoor swimming experience or closed to provide shelter in cooler or less favourable weather.
The pool is normally heated from mid-May to mid-September. Pool heating outside this period can be arranged at an additional charge. The pool terrace provides a spacious sunbathing area with loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas, together with panoramic views over Lake Como and the mountains.

Golf

Villa Besanina offers two accommodation configurations, depending on the size and needs of the group.

Standard Configuration – Up to 10 Guests
The standard arrangement comprises five air-conditioned double bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom. The beds can be separated to create twin accommodation, subject to the group's requirements.
This configuration is particularly suitable for families travelling with older children, couples travelling together and smaller multigenerational groups who value privacy and comfortable individual bedrooms.

Extended Configuration – Up to 14 Guests
For larger groups, three additional bedrooms can be arranged on request and at an additional cost:
One air-conditioned double bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom
Two adjoining single bedrooms without air conditioning
The additional bedrooms increase the villa's maximum occupancy from 10 to 14 guests. They must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and the applicable supplement.
The extended configuration is especially useful for larger family reunions, families travelling with adult children and groups of relatives who wish to stay together in one private property.

Family-Friendly Features and Accessibility
Villa Besanina offers several features that can make a family holiday more comfortable.
The children's games room includes table tennis and provides a dedicated indoor space for entertainment. The flexible double or twin bedroom arrangements help accommodate different family compositions, while a baby cot can be requested.
For guests with reduced mobility who cannot use the stairs, an alternative ground-floor arrangement is available on request. The games room can be converted into a bedroom, with access to an adjacent ground-floor bathroom equipped for guests with reduced mobility.

Families should note that the swimming pool has a retractable enclosure, but this should not be assumed to provide childproof pool security. Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising children around the pool and lake.

The ground floor has two half bathrooms and a full bathroom with shower equipped for guests with reduced mobility. If required, the ground-floor games room can be converted into a bedroom for a guest who cannot use the stairs, allowing access to the adapted ground-floor bathroom. This arrangement must be requested in advance

Kitchen

Villa Besanina features a fully equipped professional kitchen designed for both private guest use and professional chef or cook services. It includes professional-grade appliances and a high-performance refrigerated counter, making it particularly suitable for preparing meals for larger groups.

The kitchen is located on the ground floor, close to the dining room and the main living areas.

Sitting Room

The spacious lake-view living room features three sofas, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system, Wi-Fi and an internet corner. Large French doors open directly onto the panoramic terrace, creating a seamless connection between the indoor living spaces and the lake-view outdoor areas.

The ground floor also includes a large dining room seating up to 14 guests and a children's games room with table tennis.

Accessibility – Available on Request: For guests with reduced mobility who are unable to use the stairs, the ground-floor games room can, on request, be converted into a bedroom. The guest can then use the ground-floor bathroom with shower equipped for reduced-mobility use.
