Trulli are easily one of the most unusual buildings in all of Italy. Farmers built their houses in this unique manner 200-300 years ago. The Trullo became the style of the time in the Itria Valley of Puglia and maybe 1000 or so similar building were built in this area. There are now only a few well preserved examples of such architecture in the Itrian valley, and even fewer which have been restored and available for rent.
Our Trullo is not too far from the centre of Cisternino and sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
The owner, a lovely French woman has restored it with excellent taste and furnished it with every modern convenience.
It consists of 3 parts:
The Trullo – sleeps 2 - ceiling fan in the bedroom
Main Lamia – sleeps 6 - AC in 3 bedrooms
New Lamia by the pool – sleeps 2 with AC
The property has a nice garden planted with roses, lavender, olive groves and apricot trees.
There are also 2 furnished patio and a large pool.
