Palazzo Castiglioni  is a XII century palace located in the heart of Mantova, the hidden  gem of  Italy declared in 2008 Unesco World Heritage Once home to the Bonacolsi family  who ruled the town from 1272 to 1328.The Palace offers today  a  wonderful, unique accommodation combining ancient grandeur with modern luxuries.



A careful renovation has restored the main floors of the palace that now features 5 luxury suites offering   top quality lodging with independent entrance, services  as breakfast, daily cleaning  and resident manager.


LA TORRE  - 55 sqm -sleeps 2 rises four storeys high, with lift facility, and is crowned by a terrace offering a 360 degree views of the town and its monuments.
It consists of a magnificent  room with antique furnishings, impressive XII century frescoed walls , a large canopied bed draped with beautiful fabrics and silks, satellite TV, tea/coffee maker, microwave, internet connection, telephone as standard. A modern bathroom with large shower is situated 10 steps down .Guests enter the Palace through the massive wooden doors and pass along an elegant courtyard where they can park their car. Being the bathroom 10 steps down the unit is not reccommended to people with walking difficulties. AC and internet connection TV sat


L'AQUILA - 45 sqm. -sleeps 2+2 is located at the ground floor with access from the courtyard. It features a spacious living area with sofabed for 2. Large windows opening on Piazza Sordello with Palazzo Ducale view. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower. Upstairs on the mansard opening to the livngroom is the double bed with wardrobe. AC and internet connection TV sat


IL LEONE : -35 sqm- sleeps 2 + 1, located at the second floor with lift facility this one-room luxury suite features a decorative ancient fireplace and a large three mullioned window with view on Palazzo Ducale and the square. Large  Double bed ,, kitchenette corner for breakfast  with Nespresso coffe machine, frigobar, 2 single sofabeds,  AC and internet connection, TV sat


L' ARCO 75 sqm - sleeps 2+2 located at the second floor with lift facility.The unit features a large living room with spectacular windows offering the best view of the town. A double bed under the arch ,   kitchenette corner for  breakfast with Nespresso coffe machine, frigobar and bathroom with shower. AC, TV sat, internet access


CELESTE 15 sqm .at the first floor with lift facility  double bedroom with bathroom (shower) and window opening towards the courtyard AC, TV sat, internet access


GLICINE : 70 sqmt , at the second floor with lift facility, double bedroom, with bathroom ( shower), balcony view towards S. Andrea Dome, AC, TV sat, internet access


PIANO NOBILE available  for events, weddings and anniversaries, This 500 sqm apartment decorated with frescoes and stuccos is the personal residence of the family. It is available for events .



Over 700 years of history sit on top of the tower where  a unique  frescoed room  is locatedwith magnificent panoramas in every direction The Tower  is the most exclusive  place to stay in Mantova  and occupies the top floor of the oldest Palace in town , in front  of the  legendary  Palazzo Ducale.

The mansion is the home of the Castiglioni family descendants  of Baldesar Castiglione, politician and scholar of the 16th century, author of "il Cortegiano "
